Ferry Building to Sausalito/Tiburon/Inner Sunset.  Approx 30 or 42 miles, 1500 or 2500 ft.

Let’s avoid the heat by going to the coast.  Take BART and meet at 10:20 am at the pier behind at Arquet (formally the Slanted Door) at the NE corner of San Francisco Ferry Building. You may sign the waiver ahead of time on cherrycitycyclists.com. Here is Ride Waiver Form link.

Ride rolls at 10:30 am The ride will go through the Marina, across the GGB to Sausalito, Tiburon, and back through GGP and the Inner Sunset (Irving Street).  We can decide whether to keep going to Tiburon or turn around in Sausalito for the shorter ride. We will be returning by riding through the presidio then through Golden Gate Park and return up Irving, the center of Inner Sunset. then down to Civic Center BART.  There are a few moderate climbs along a mostly flat route.  The route has lots of lovely views and interesting neighborhoods. Lots of regroups; this is a pleasurable/touring ride that will average about 10mph.

Bring water, snack, money for BART and food stop in Sausalito or Tiburon. Rain Cancels.  Note that even if it is nice weather downtown and in Marin, it can be foggy, wet, and windy going across the bridge.  The ride will be canceled if there is 90 plus degree weather or a 30% or greater chance of rain for Saturday in San Francisco. Check Friday evening from Weather Underground. Check for the hours between 9am and 3pm.
