DESCRIPTION:flat /10-12 mph/40.4 miles/elevation 245 ft\nMeet 8:45 am at Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge\, 2 Marshlands Rd\, FremontAfter turning onto Marshlands Road\, it’s the first parking lot on the right.(there is a porta potty at the parking lot) \nLet’s stay near the Bay and explore the South Bay a little! We’ll use lots of off-street paths\, and well-marked bike lanes. The hard-packed gravel sections can be ridden on narrow road tires\, but bring your wide-tire bike if you have one! We’ll pass by Moffett Field (NASA Ames) and visit an egret rookery on the Google campus. Lunch is at the 27.5-mile point at Michael’s (Shoreline golf course)\, followed by the closing stretch over the Dumbarton Bridge. \nPlease sign the waiver ahead of time on cherrycitycyclists.com.
