SUMMARY:Leisurely Dim Sum\, Coffee\, Alameda Loop
DESCRIPTION:Easy/8-12 mph/35 miles/elevation 321\nJoin me for a relaxed casual ride starting from a brewery to Dim Sum House for take out. Bring a backpack or have pockets to stuff food. A sandwich size Ziplock bag is also a good idea. \nMeet 9:30 a.m. at Fieldwork Brewery in San Leandro. \nOverview: \nWe’ll cycle through the city and head to the Dim Sum House for delectable bites of steamed\, fried or baked Chinese hors d’oeuvres that can be sweet or savory\, a snack or a meal. This is for “take out” only vs a restaurant. It is approximately $5.00 per order which usually includes 3-4 pieces of the same item. This makes it fun\, shareable with others and making it tough not to sneak in a bite before leaving. \nNext..we will enter the Bay Trail from Grant Ave. This is a dedicated paved bike pedestrian path that goes into Alameda leading us pass the Harbor Bay Ferry\, across the Blue Bridge and the Alameda Shoreline to Coffee Culture. This will be a longer sit down break where you may purchase drinks\, order a pastry or enjoy any of the “take out” items that you haven’t already devoured earlier in the ride. \nThe return route is on the east side of Doolittle on the Martin Luther Shoreline and a short cut through Drakes Brewery back to Fieldwork’s atrium for a post ride social if interested. \nPlease sign the waiver ahead of time on cherrycitycyclists.com from the menu under “Rides”\, “Ride Waiver Form”. \nBe sure to plug in the correct date. \nBe sure to wear a helmet and have air in the tires before you start the ride. \nBring water\, snack and $$ for food. \nContact: Vicky Ma 510 813-6690 mobile/text or creativesource@outlook.com
