DESCRIPTION:easy/8-12 mph/13 & 26 miles/elevation 158 & 295 ft\nIn honor of the Alameda County supervisor who was fatally hit by a car last fall while walking her dog in Alameda\, Madison Park in Oakland’s Chinatown will be renamed Wilma Chan Park. This hub across from the BART station is a popular gathering place for the community. The ceremony will debut new lights\, signs and various upgrades with poetry\, performances\, live art and more from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. \nRide options: \n1-  Approx 26 miles \nMeet 8:30 for a 8:45 a.m. start from 21st Amendment 2010 Williams St San Leandro. We’ll make our way over to the MLK trail returning via Ron Cowan and the Bay Trail. Elevation 295. \n2- Approx 13 miles \nTake BART to the Lake Merritt station meet 11:00 a.m. at the corner of 9th & Jackson St\, Oakland. After the ceremony\, we will ride back together through Alameda along the Bay Trail into San Leandro to 21st Amendment\, not far from the SL BART station. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 12th\nFlat ride: 497 ft elevation\, 10-15 mph\, approx. 37 miles \nThis is a RSVP event text me at 510-788-0597 by Friday 8pm.\nMeet in front of Little House Café\, 2300 Blanding Ave\, Alameda at 9:50 AM and ride at 10:15 AM. Parking is available on Blanding and Clement Ave. We are going to ride a flat route to Point Richmond and have lunch at Little Louie’s Café\, located at 49 Washington Ave\, Richmond. Elevation Gain of 497 ft so it is definitely a flat ride. We’ll be riding near BART at Lake Merritt\, and West Oakland if you interested in riding but not as far. If so contact me so we can make arrangements to meet you.
