SUMMARY:San Francisco Ferry Bldg to Sausalito and more
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nSaturday\, September 5th\nFerry Building to Sausalito/Tiburon/Inner Sunset.  Approx 30 or 42 miles\, 1500 or 2500 ft.\nLet’s avoid the heat and go to the coast.  Take BART and meet at 10:20 am at the pier behind at Arquet (formally the Slanted Door) at the NE corner of San Francisco Ferry Building. You may sign the waiver ahead of time on cherrycitycyclists.com. Here is Ride Waiver Form link. \nRide rolls at 10:30 am The ride will go through the Marina\, across the GGB to Sausalito\, Tiburon\, and back through GGP and the Inner Sunset (Irving Street).  We can decide whether to keep going to Tiburon or turn around in Sausalito for the shorter ride. We will be returning by riding through the presidio then through Golden Gate Park and return up Irving\, the center of Inner Sunset. then down to Civic Center BART.  There are a few moderate climbs along a mostly flat route.  The route has lots of lovely views and interesting neighborhoods. Lots of regroups; this is a pleasurable/touring ride that will average about 10mph. \nBring water\, snack\, money for BART and food stop in Sausalito or Tiburon. Rain Cancels.  Note that even if it is nice weather downtown and in Marin\, it can be foggy\, wet\, and windy going across the bridge.  The ride will be canceled if there is 90 plus degree weather or a 30% or greater chance of rain for Saturday in San Francisco. DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nSaturday\, Sept. 19th\nFlat ride: 354 ft elevation\, 10-15 mph\, 26.24 miles \nThis is a RSVP event text me at 510-788-0597 by Friday 5pm or fill out the Ride Waiver form. \nThis is a perfect ride for Newbies or cyclists that have not been riding much over the summer. Met in front of the Shaka Shack location (address and map at the bottom of the page). Street parking is available. Here is the Rider Waiver link to fill out. We are going to ride a flat route to Oakland Airport area and continue back to our start point (for those that need a shorter ride)\, then thorough Alameda to the naval base to the USS Hornet and have lunch on the naval base. Elevation Gain of 354 ft so it is definitely a flat ride.
