SUMMARY:Kincaid Loop - Alexander Valley

DESCRIPTION:3/L/40 miles. Lets do this ride! \nThis is the last ride of the progress series which began on Aug 10 & 11. \nIn 6 weeks\, we went on a tour of the Bay Area and found San Leandro to be centrally located to a mecca of routes. \nYou can leave the car at home and ride to many places. 10 of our 12 journeys started from the San Leandro BART Station.  \nWe hope this introduction has given you inspiration to ride and explore more of what the Bay Area has to offer. \nThis last route will start from the pick up/drop off area on the Pleasanton side of the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station (end of the line) at 1:45 pm. \nYour options are to meet 12:45 pm at San Leandro BART. We will take the train together out to Pleasanton or you could meet at the Pleasanton station at 1:30 pm. \nThis ride will take us out through what some call Little Italy and the Livermore wineries via Old Vineyard Rd\, Wetmore\, Cross Rd and Patterson. \nBring water\, snack and $$. \nContact: Vicky Ma 510 813-6690 mobile/text or creativesource@outlook.com

DESCRIPTION:3/L/32 miles\, add 2 miles from CV BART \nThis is the last weekend of the small group progressive series which began on Aug 10 & 11 \nMost of you experienced new areas to cycle\, made some friends\, got some tips along the way and biked distances beyond what you thought you could do. \nYou are a stronger rider and ready to take on new adventures and yes….you can do the hills. \nRide will start at 9:15 am from Castro Valley Cyclery 20515 Stanton Ave. Castro Valley\, 94546. \nMeet 8:15 am at San Leandro BART if you want to take the train to Castro Valley and ride a short distance to Castro Valley Cyclery. SUMMARY:Progressive wkend # 5 of 6 on Sunday - Cull Canyon x 2
DESCRIPTION:2+/L/12\, 30 or 42 miles \nJoin me on a small group progressive which began on Aug 10 & 11 \nTour the Bay Area and see what’s in our own backyard. \nThere are 3 rides left of the series and it’s not too late to participate in the program. \nIf you were waiting for terrain that’s a little more challenging….these are it. \nNote: \nEach ride is progressively longer in distance and the terrain more challenging. The goal is to build endurance to ride 40 miles and prepare some on upcoming events such as the Waves to Wine (43 & 42 miles back to back) or the Tour De Fuzz. \nIf you can only ride Saturday’s or Sunday’s? No problem. \nThere will be ride offerings for both days so that you can do one or the other or both pending your personal goals. \nThe last progressive ride is on Sunday\, September 15th. \nMeet 12:45 pm at San Leandro BART. This ride rolls from the station at 1:00 pm. \nWe’ll be riding through parts of San Leandro to a scenic road in Castro Valley called Cull Canyon. This is a gem. A 6 mile pastoral road to a dead end and a popular road used by cyclists. The rolling terrain and gradual climb to the end of Cull Canyon is a good road for training. On other days you can do 12 mile hill repeats from the staging area. \nThese are your options: \nStart from SL BART and do a 2nd repeat on Cull Canyon = 42 miles \nStart from SL BART and do 1 loop on Cull Canyon = 30 miles \nMeet 2:00 pm at the Cull Canyon Staging Area at Cull Canyon Rd & Briar Ridge Rd intersection. Each loop is 12 miles. \nBring water\, snack and $$. \nContact: Vicky Ma 510 813-6690 mobile/text or creativesource@outlook.com
