SUMMARY:Take BART to San Francisco Ferry Bldg to Tiburon
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, Sept 11th\nSomewhat Hilly with flats ride: 2612 ft elevation\, 10-15 mph\, approx 46 miles\nLet’s take BART and meet at 9:50 am at the back pier entrance to Slanted Door of the San Francisco Ferry Building. By arriving at 9:50 am\, so we’ll have time to sign our Ride Waiver form. \nRide rolls at 10:15 am The ride is approximately 46 miles includes a climb up Conzelman Rd into the Marin Headlands. We can decide as a group to climb up Conzelman Rd or go straight down to Sausalito. Another option that would shorten the ride is to take the ferry back from Tiburon to get back to the SF ferry building. There are a couple of climbs getting to the Golden Gate Bridge and another one climbing out of Sausalito in returning to San Francisco. The route is lovely with awesome views especially at the top of Conzelman and the downhill is sweet. Regroups along the way\, a perfect place to enjoy the views while logging in miles. We will be returning by riding through the presidio\, to Golden Gate Park\, through the Haight district to the Civic Center BART. \nThis is a RSVP event text me at 510-788-0597 by Friday 8pm. \nBring water\, snack\, money for BART and food. Allow time to sign in.  \nThis is a counter clockwise loop with most of the route along the waters. We cycle the Martin Luther Regional Shoreline and at Harbor Bay in Alameda\, continue southbound to the Bay Trail. In San Lorenzo\, we exit out onto Grant Ave in San Lorenzo for Dim Sum. We’ll pick up our “To Go” order from the Dim Sum House and have our picnic lunch at Via Toledo Park 5 minutes away. There are restroom facilities inside the Ferry Building. Take BART to meet us at the Ferry Building. \n \n  \nEnjoy the ride across the Golden Gate Bridge (duck’n’ dodge the Blazing Saddle riders) into Sausalito\, and then we hop onto a bike trail\, ride a scenic road and then another bike trail into Tiburon. If you want a shorter ride you can catch the ferry back to SF from Tiburon. You will get off at the Embarcadero. The BART station will be about a block away. The rest of us will continue our ride and eventually make a loop back through Sausalito\, over the Golden Gate Bridge\, through the Presidio\, and back to Civic Center BART.
