SUMMARY:Take BART to San Francisco Ferry Bldg to Tiburon
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, Sept 11th\nSomewhat Hilly with flats ride: 2612 ft elevation\, 10-15 mph\, approx 46 miles\nLet’s take BART and meet at 9:50 am at the back pier entrance to Slanted Door of the San Francisco Ferry Building. By arriving at 9:50 am\, so we’ll have time to sign our Ride Waiver form. \nRide rolls at 10:15 am The ride is approximately 46 miles includes a climb up Conzelman Rd into the Marin Headlands. We can decide as a group to climb up Conzelman Rd or go straight down to Sausalito. Another option that would shorten the ride is to take the ferry back from Tiburon to get back to the SF ferry building. There are a couple of climbs getting to the Golden Gate Bridge and another one climbing out of Sausalito in returning to San Francisco. The route is lovely with awesome views especially at the top of Conzelman and the downhill is sweet. Regroups along the way\, a perfect place to enjoy the views while logging in miles. DESCRIPTION:2-2+/L-T/Options below\nJoin Cherry City Cyclists and Bike Walk San Leandro on a No Drop Ride across the Bay Bridge into Treasure Island where you’ll enjoy amazing views of San Francisco and beyond. There are several options. If you elect to ride from the San Leandro BART station meet at 9:00 a.m. for a 9:30 start. If you want a shorter distance but want to experience the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island\, meet at the Lake Merritt BART station 9th & Oak at 11:15 a.m. for a 11:45. The route to the Bay Bridge access is mostly flat. A moderate incline on the Bay Bridge is not steep and doable. There is a steep climb on the west end of the bridge going into Treasure Island and a hill returning back after lunch. However\, there is a complimentary shuttle that can take you and your bike down to the restaurant and back to the west end. We will have lunch at Mersea on Treasure Island. There are options on the return route. DESCRIPTION:Eden Landing Salt Flats Loop\nLets explore the Eden Landing Ecological Reserve and the Bay Trail from San Leandro\, pass the San Mateo Bridge into Hayward. This is a casual recreational ride suitable for hybrid and mountain bikes as approximately 13 miles of this route is on gravel roads. Road bikes are doable and welcome but the bike will get dusty and dirty.
