DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nSaturday\, August 8th\nModerately Steep Hills in some areas: 1\,165 ft elevation\, 8-15 mph\, approx. 35.1 miles \nThis is a RSVP event text me at 510-788-0597 by Friday 8pm or fill out the Rider waiver form.\nMake sure the fill out the Rider Waiver Form . \nMeet in front of Shaka Shack (formerly Little House Café)\, 2300 Blanding Ave\, Alameda at 9:50 AM and ride at 10:00 AM. Parking is available on Blanding and Clement Ave. We are going be riding through Oakland to Berkeley to Kensington and back to Oakland. We’ll have lunch somewhere along the way or at the end of the ride. We’ll be riding by the West Oakland BART at if you interested in riding but not as far. If so contact me so we can make arrangements to meet you. SUMMARY:San Francisco Ferry Bldg to Sausalito and more
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nSaturday\, August 15th\nFerry Building to Sausalito/Tiburon/Inner Sunset.  Approx 30 or 42 miles\, 1500 or 2500 ft.\nLet’s avoid the heat by going to the coast.  Take BART and meet at 10:20 am at the pier behind at Arquet (formally the Slanted Door) at the NE corner of San Francisco Ferry Building. You may sign the waiver ahead of time on cherrycitycyclists.com. Here is Ride Waiver Form link. \nRide rolls at 10:30 am The ride will go through the Marina\, across the GGB to Sausalito\, Tiburon\, and back through GGP and the Inner Sunset (Irving Street).  We can decide whether to keep going to Tiburon or turn around in Sausalito for the shorter ride. We will be returning by riding through the presidio then through Golden Gate Park and return up Irving\, the center of Inner Sunset. then down to Civic Center BART.  There are a few moderate climbs along a mostly flat route.  The route has lots of lovely views and interesting neighborhoods. Lots of regroups; this is a pleasurable/touring ride that will average about 10mph. \nBring water\, snack\, money for BART and food stop in Sausalito or Tiburon. Rain Cancels.  Note that even if it is nice weather downtown and in Marin\, it can be foggy\, wet\, and windy going across the bridge.  The ride will be canceled if there is 90 plus degree weather or a 30% or greater chance of rain for Saturday in San Francisco.
