DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nSaturday\, December 7th\nModerate hills in the ride: 950/1850 ft elevation\, 10-15 mph\, approx. 25/35 miles \nMeet in front of Shaka Shack (formerly Little House Café)\, 2300 Blanding Ave\, Alameda at 10:15AM and ride at 10:30AM. Once on Wetmore\, we bike towards Wente Vineyard and through Holdener Park exiting onto Marina and Tesla Rd. At Mines Rd. we spin around and return on most of the same roads back to the start. \nYou may sign the waiver ahead of time on cherrycitycyclists.com. SUMMARY:Castro Valley to Niles
DESCRIPTION:Saturday December 21\, 2024\n40 miles;  4600 feet climbing;  average speed around 10 mph (leisurely\, with frequent regroupings)\nThis is a ride up and over Palomares to the town of Niles\, then return via Mission Blvd.  Palomares is one of the great local cycling roads: the one big climb is gentle rollers for about 5 miles then steep for the last mile.  The return is the opposite: steep at first then more moderate for most of the climb.  Niles has lots of quaint shops and eateries\, and we will stop there to eat.   \nStart and end at Castro Valley BART.  Meet at 11:00 in front of the main entrance.  Bring water\, bars\, $$ for coffee/food stops.   \nRIDE LEADER:  Steven Yoder   (510) 394-8684    email: steve@zlcsoftware.com

SUMMARY:Calaveras Road
