SUMMARY:San Francisco Ferry Bldg to Sausalito/Tiburon
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nSaturday\, December 27th\nFerry Building to Sausalito/Tiburon.  Approx 20 or 40/45 miles\, 2500 ft.\nLet’s take BART and meet at 10:20 am at the pier behind the Slanted Door of the San Francisco Ferry Building. You may sign the waiver ahead of time on cherrycitycyclists.com. Here is Ride Waiver Form link. \nRide rolls at 10:30 am The ride will go through Chinatown and North Beach\, then through Marina Dist and across the GGB to Sausalito (where the weather should be nicer than the rest of the bay area).  We can decide whether to proceed on to Tiburon and eat there.  And then we can decide whether to take the Paradise loop on the way back.   There are moderate climbs along a mostly flat route.  There are a couple of climbs getting to the Golden Gate Bridge and another one climbing out of Sausalito in returning to San Francisco. The route is lovely with awesome views/neighborhoods. Lots of regroups; this is a pleasurable/touring ride. We will be returning by riding through the presidio to Golden Gate Park\, through the Haight-Asbury and Hayes Valley districts to the Civic Center BART. \nBring water\, snack\, money for BART and food stop in Sausalito or Tiburon. Rain Cancels.  Note that even if it is nice weather downtown and in Marin\, it can be foggy\, wet\, and windy going across the bridge.  The ride will be canceled if there 90 plus degree weather or a 30% or greater chance of rain for Saturday. Check Friday evening from Weather Underground . Check for the hours between 9am and 3pm. \n \n  \nRide Leader: Steven Yoder 510-394-8684 or email: steve@zllcsoftware.com \n
