Get out your Clipper Card for a Sunday play day. We’ll be heading to the Barlow for the Head West Market in Sebastopol.

We hop on the Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit Train (SMART) to Rohnert Park. Making our way onto the Joe Robata bike path will take us to the Barlow. This is a boutique area with coffee, music, merchants, crafters, designers, artists, breweries, tasting rooms and restaurants. You might even consider bringing a backpack. Plan to spend time walking your bike around the complex, enjoy the afternoon and go with the flow. If you have a time constraint, this may not be the ride for you. On our return, we’ll take the Santa Rosa Creek bike path as part of our route back to the train station. The plan is to take the 3:55 or 6:13 pm train back to the Larkspur start. There are earlier times before 3:55 but this does not give you enough you time to enjoy the area relaxed. Feel free to split from the group, a route will be provided but you will be on your own.

Approx 30 miles meet 9:00 am in front of Johnny’s Donuts at the Marin Country Mart 2257 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur. Elevation 579

45 miles. This includes the 30 mile Barlow loop. Meet 8:00 in front of 201 Tewksbury Ave, Richmond (previously Aky’s Cafe). We’ll ride across the San Rafael Bridge to the Larkspur Train Station and ride back across on the return after we do the 30 mile.

Need to Know:

We’ll be taking the 1st train in the morning to our destination.

The lunch stop will be at one of the many choices at The Barlow before returning.

The Clipper Card is the easiest form of payment on the train. You CAN NOT board the train and pay with a credit card. However, you can purchase a ticket on the web. For more info sonomamarintrain.org
