Progressive wkend # 4 of 6 on Saturday – Collier Canyon
August 31, 2019 @ 8:00 am
2+/L/37 miles
Join me on a small group progressive which began on Aug 10 & 11
Tour the Bay Area and see what’s in our own backyard.
Most rides will start from San Leandro.
If you missed a ride, no worries. Feel free to hop into the program at any time.
Note:
Each ride is gradually longer in distance and the terrain will become more challenging. The goal is to build endurance to ride 40 miles and prepare some on upcoming events such as the Waves to Wine (43 & 42 miles back to back) or the Tour De Fuzz.
If you can only ride Saturday’s or Sunday’s? No problem.
There will be ride offerings for both days for 6 wks so that you can do one or the other or both pending your personal goals.
This ride will start from the pick up/drop off area on the Pleasanton side of the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station (end of the line) at 9:15 am.
Your options are to meet 8:00 am at San Leandro BART. We will take the train together out to Pleasanton or you could meet at the Pleasanton station at 9:00.
The route is mostly flat until we reach Collier Canyon. We’ll approach a gradual 4.5 mile climb through and into the countryside and farmlands before the turn onto Camino Tassajara. This road will take us to San Ramon Valley and Amador Valley Blvd onto the Iron Horse Trail and back to BART.
Bring water, snack and $$.
