36 miles;  2300 feet climbing;  average speed around 10 mph (leisurely, with frequent regroupings)

This is a ride up Crow Canyon (new pavement with room for bikes where there used to be none), then up to Danville via Blackhawk Road.  Stop for lunch or else Peets Coffee, then return via San Ramon Valley Blvd and Crow Canyon.  No steep climbs, but lots of gentler climbing and descents. 

Start and end at Castro Valley BART.  Meet at 10:30 in front of the main entrance.  Bring water, bars, $$ for coffee/food stops.
