March 30 @ 8:45 am
Mixed terrain /10-12 mph/26 & 44 miles/short route elevation 1,154 ft., long route 1,956 ft
This ride is cancelled due to rain. However, the Sunday 3/31 ride is still on.
On this beautiful route with iconic views of the Bay Area, we will hook up with fellow comrades who are planning a bike overnighter at China Camp. For some, this is a first time experience hauling gear on a bike. If interested, there are limited spots left at the campsite. Contact Kariz Matic karizmatic@gmail.com for details.
For those non campers, these are the ride options:
26 miles- Meet 8:45 a.m. in front of Johnny’s Doughnuts at the Marin Country Mart. This ride starts promptly at 9:00 so that we can rendezvous with the bike campers around noon. We will head out of the Country Mart, climbing Chapman Rd, passing through Blackie’s Pasture, Belvedere and Tiburon onto Paradise Drive returning to the start. You may end your ride here or…
44 miles- Meet 8:45 a.m. in front of Johnny’s Doughnuts at the Marin Country Mart. This ride starts promptly at 9:00 so that we can rendezvous with the bike campers around noon-ish for a food & restroom break. The front end of this route is exactly the same as the 26 mile route. After we hook up with the bike campers, we’ll ride together with them to their campsite. After a short social, we will complete the China Camp loop with a possible stop at Andy’s Market depending on the interest or continue back to the start.
About the “mixed terrain”… There are intervals of very brief pitches that’s 7-11% woven into the rollers.
Please sign the waiver ahead of time on cherrycitycyclists.com. From the menu under “Rides”, “Ride Waiver Form”.
