If you ever wondered which streets to use when cycling from the Oakland Lake Merritt BART to the San Leandro BART, this route is designed for you. Park your car at the San Leandro BART Station or ride there from home and take BART to the Oakland Lake Merritt BART. Meet on the Lake Merritt entrance on the open park like area above the BART station.
Let me show you some quieter roads and designated bike lanes on a relaxed paced ride. We’ll travel south on Embarcadero St, through the neighborhoods, along the MLK Shoreline Trail to the Oyster Bay trail and back to San Leandro BART.
There will be a post ride social at one of the local breweries for those who are interested.
Meet 10:50 am for a 11:15 am start at the Oakland Lake Merritt Bart Station.
This is an RSVP ride so text me if you are coming by 6pm Friday night.
Come with your bike mechanically sound, air in tires. Bring your bike helmet, water, snack and money.
